Now we get to know each other

You’ve captured our attention and we’d like to get to know you. Now comes the time for you to impress us with your knowledge and authenticity in a face-to-face discussion or phone call.

Four keys to a successful interview:

1. Good preparation makes a good impression.

Good preparation is crucial for making you feel and appear confident and capable. Be prepared to answer questions on the following topics:

  • Your resume
  • The motivation behind your application
  • Technical/specialist questions related to the position and the tasks it involves
  • Questions about the logistics sector and DB Schenker

2. A pleasant and friendly appearance.

The initial impression you make is important. You should therefore make sure you’re on time and that you’re open and authentic — just be yourself! Appropriate attire also helps make a good impression, of course, so dress properly.

3. Don’t panic.

It’s normal to be a little nervous. The interview will usually be conducted by someone from Human Resources along with the head of the department you’ve applied to. These people understand that you might be a little nervous and will therefore try to help you relax — so don’t panic!

4. Be curious.
Show us during the interview that you’re interested in our company. You’ll be given an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview. Take advantage of this opportunity to clarify any open questions and to show us that you’ve truly put a lot of thought into our company and the position you’ve applied for.
